Which one is batter blog provider? I have surfing around to see which one is batter; at last I have found the compare ration page. Right now I’m using word press as my bog and I’m trying not to be byes :-).

First, let’s we look at functionality,

Wordpress provide category and sub category, that’s mean when your write your post it’s will sort by category and subcategory, sorry in Blogger their don’t provide this. The big factor for your subscriber is RSS, Blogger doesn’t provide this service but Wordpress does. If you take Blogger service that mean you must install RSS with your self. Need to surfing around and find how to put RSS to your blog.

Second: - Spam Fighting Tool.

So if you are using Wordpress there already provide you with Spam fighting, but not for Blogger. If you are using Wordpress there are tons of plug-in that ready to be activate to fighting Spam. Wordpress also provide IP ban (blacklist).

Third: - Design

With Blogger their have provide 33 default theme but Wordpress only provide 2 theme.

Most people will choose Blogger as their blog provide because Blogger is free and they’re allowed advertising on the blog, if you are using Wordpress, no advertising allowed (free service). So if you still want to use Wordpress and put advertising, you need to get web provider and set-up Wordpress on your server.

Ok, today i just want share about plug-in that useful to

block spammer ,one of the famous plug-in is spam Karma, How you want to get it? Just type spam Karma on the google search engine. Download to your computer and unzip it. Then upload to your plugin folder in the server.

Then, login to your wordpress admin account and click plug-in , activate the spam karma. After you have activate the plug-in go to setting and setting your spam karma.

then now you have your own spam guard.

Favicon is small icon on your address bar on your browser for example if you type google.com “g” symbol on the address bar is favicon so how we can have our own favicon. Let’s do it now.

Ok, there are two ways to put the favicon. Manually setting or using plug-in. I’m preferred using plug-in. Download the plug-in from the link to your computer and unzip the file. There are small PHP file, upload to the server and the plug-in is ready yo go, don’t forget to upload your favicon into your server. After that go to admin account click plug-in and activate the favicon plug-in. Then click setting and click favicons. So just type your favicon directory. If you install it on main directory just type the name of your favicon. For example if your favicon file is favicon.ico just type favicon.ico in the box.

Refresh your blog and if you doing it properly the favicon will appear on your address bar.

The conclusion is: -
1. Download the plug-in
2. Unzip the plug-in
3. Upload the plug-in and your Favicon into the server .
4. Go to admin account and activate the plug-in
5. Setting the plug-in on the setting section.
6. Refresh the browser.

If you wish to upgrade your Wordpress to a new version there are couple ways to do it :-

1. Using auto update plug-in.
Auto update plug-in can be found at Wordpress plug-in site, or just type Wordpress auto update at search engine. Download the plug-in and upload that file at “plugin folder” in your Wordpress file (at the server). Then go to your Admin site click plugin and activate automatic update plug-in. Thats all.

2. Manually update your Wordpress
Some people love to do work manually, it’s give them more pleasure, so if you want to do it manually the steps is:-
1. Make a back-up for your Wordpress file (if something go wrong, you still have your old blog).
2. Download Wordpress 2.6 and unzip the file.
3. Upload all file to the server the file using FTP except wp-config-sample.php
4. Type your blog URL on the browser.
5. Follow the instruction
6. You are ready to go.

When you are using FTP, your uploading speed is depend on your internet line. If you are using Dail-up please be patient.

Maybe all the blogger have known that WordPress 2.6 have been release. So update your blog now (for those who use wordpress) I’m still with 2.5 version and maybe later i will update, my internet connection is slow and i cannot use Wordpress auto update plug-in.

For people like us i suggest we try for the free first because if free provider all we need to do is just register for an account and wallaaaa we can start blogging, just pick the topic and we can start writing what we passion about. Of course we can still make money from free blog provider, for the blogger.com their have allowed blogger to put advertisement (Adsense) at their blog, some provider don’t allowed that. When it free of course you have some rule or condition you must follow or if your blog will shut down. That is some of the weakness free blog provider. Maybe you make a lot of money today and then tomorrow when you type the address again there is no more, what a waste. Some of the reason the blog is been shut down is illegal content. Some of us their blog because their love to write or just the hobby or what aver the reason maybe we will be tired, boring, no idea so we decide to stop blogging so if we take free blog provider that is nothing to lose. So if you are not the serious blogger just take free blog service. Go on you have nothing to lose

Paid Blog provider is more serious blogger, have some knowledge to setup blog on their database or cording languages. With paid services no one will close down your blog but if don’t paid your monthly fee or yearly fee of course it’s will be close too. But if you have knowledge to setup your own blog but don’t have money or don’t want to take risk with paid provider you can go for free web provider and setup your blog there. Like i’m using now is free web provider and their provide fantastico that can easily setup word press blog. So it’s free and you are free man like a paid hosting. Greatttttt.
